Seashells

© Valerie Walls

A poet wonders where all the seashells on the beach come from, and where do they go?

Seashells, seashells on the shore,
I wonder where you were before.

Some are big and some are small,
How many seashells are there in all.

In the sea or on the beach,
Some are white and even peach.

Seashells, seashells on the shore,
I feel somewhere else there are many more.
