The essence of sand

© Jennifer Allen

I am only 13 years of age but I feel writing poems are one of my many hobbies. This poem is supposed to tease your mind and fill it with imagination.

The sand seems like an endless sea,
It ripples in the wind and makes small waves
Curiously the wind plunders through the cool depths of the tropical sand
The warm sand spills into the shallow water
Sea weeds kiss the surface of the sand while sea urchins play on the edge of the reef
palm tree tusks cover the exotic sand
Do you feel the essence of sand?
