Sunset Poems: 3/4
Nature, Sunset

Sunset

© Kenna

For my mother, who has always loved poetry. She inspired me to follow my dreams.

A sun falls below the horizon,
Creating an orange glare,
I sit and watch the midnight sun,
Not thinking about my loved one.

He is so sweet, and smart too,
But I know I cannot have him,
For that is so much to go through,
When the sun was gone,
All there was left was darkness.

I go inside, and think things through,
Wonder if my dreams will ever come true,
Nothing can stand in my way,
I know I'll be okay,
Because I'll watch another sunset some other day.
