Sunset Poems: 4/4

Nature, Sunset

Mother?

© Kerry A. Miller

I was writing for English and I thought it was a pretty good poem...

The sunset sighed as the child woke
She smiled and waved
Then the child spoke
“dreams I had, the princess I saved!”

Dragons, Castles, and Wonders Galore
Who wouldn’t want that, but there was more
Shallow Love with a beautiful young girl
But it all ended in a sudden whirl

Suddenly she turned a blissful pink
And kissed the child with a wink
Goodbye for today, my friend
May your dreams never end
