Nature, Scenery

The Meadows

© Madison ashley wilbanks

Meadows as far
As the eye can see
Filled with dreary partings
And timeless ease
Tree or treasure?
Such mockery
Lumbering doubt
Accompanies us all in the end

The youth blossoming
branching out
Tiny stars
shone in the sky
now saw
only through a child’s eyes

Clouds abundant with fear
let lose their reins
and it rains
drops of concern
titter and shear

But the young….
Ah…well….
They stand tall
without shame or care
let the sky fall!

The sun will show bright
for those who made it through
this night
this day will be forgiving in nature
and oh……so sweet
