Oh, Quahog Shell

© Maggie

Hi, my name is Maggie. I am 11. I wrote this poem about Rhode Island for a state project. I hope you like it!!

Oh quahog shell,
You look so well.
Tell me every secret there is to tell,
About the ocean floor on which you dwell.

I picked the shell up,
And I started to walk.
I joined my family,
And we began to talk.

We talked so much,
About how things came to be.
And now we’re even closer,
Because of this shell from the sea.
