Animal Poem
Just a walnut can change a life, make it happy. by: sydney clary age 12
The Walnut
© sydney clary
a lonely mocking bird swooped and cawed
but still no companion came to sight
mocking bird wept in her willow tree
something far away caught mocking birds eye
a single walnut came plummeting down from a tree
mocking bird glanced back at her empty nest
decided to fly..
the walnut came to sight
as her beak secured the nut
two golden eyes met hers
a tug on the nut
mocking bird saw a nut fall from a far tree
she glanced at the eggs in her nest
two yellow eyes watched upon them
and met mocking birds own
