Season Poem

Nature and I

© Godfrey Dlima
I always find the moods within
are carved by weather, clime and time
and I can scarcely be myself
apart from nature's paradigm

the print of life that swirls around
sun and wind and rain in turn
and peoples in such hue and shape
I try to learn and yet unlearn

for deep within the heart of life
unfolds a precious mystery
spurring the seasons' freshening change
and plays the tides of history
