The wolfs lost love

© Timothy Manning

I dedicate this poem to God, who has blessed me with my talents.

The wolf, he cries,
ever so sadly.
to the moon, his snout lifted,
his heart grieving gladly.

to touch his lost love,
to hold her once more.
to kiss her white face,
through the clouds would he soar.

he begs for her touch,
howling her name.
but he knows that forever,
his fate is his pain.
