What is the sound of silence?

Sound of Silence

© Emily A. Capella

Silence is the endless sound,
That keeps no words abound.
Silence is the wisdom of God,
Like the silence of a heedful nod.
No sound, not even a peep,
No troubled soul to weep.
That is the sound of silence,
Even more abode than science.
No word is thy bold,
Like a soul ready to unfold.
To be soundless is a mystery,
As a night so blistery.
Silence is and always will be,
Like a pure soul frolicking with glee.
So silence is the endless sound,
That keeps no words abound.
